No need to spend hours in a gym…
Fitness is one of the 3 pillars to living your healthiest life. And the biggest push back I get from almost every new client is… I am so busy and would never be able to work out enough to get the kind of results I’m looking for!
And to that I say… NOT TRUE!!!
You do have the time, you just need to use it wisely! This is why my favorite modality of fitness is High Intensity Interval Training… also known as HIIT. This type of program allows you to condition your body, burn fat, build muscle and improve your cardiovascular fitness in as little as 30 minutes just 3 times per week!
How does it work?
Basically, you do short bursts of high intensity moves with short periods of rest. Choose 6 or more exercises, perform each exercise for a prescribed amount of time with a short period of rest between each move. Repeat the moves as many times as you like to create a workout that fits your goals and your schedule!
Why is the rest time so important?
Basically, you are forcing your body to repeatedly re-acclimate between two different states and this provides optimal cardio conditioning. It may seem backwards to rest during your workout, but the truth is… if you skip the rest, you will be skipping the most effective part of HIIT.
Post workout calorie burn!!! After you complete a HIIT workout, your body will continue to burn even more calories due to EPOC – Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption. One HIIT workout will burn up to an additional 15% of calories AFTER you finish working out!
Just imagine… after a few short weeks of devoting just 30 minutes 3 times per week on your fitness, you are going to look better, feel better, and live better. And people are going to notice!
